Dr. Jennifer Knight worked for 11 years as a Master Resiliency Trainer & Performance Expert at the R2 Performance Center at Ft. Hood, Texas. In her role, she helped soldiers and their circle of support with consistent day-to-day goal-setting. At the group level, Dr. Knight helped leadership foster stronger motivational climates to set conditions for more resilient, engaged, internally motivated Soldiers. Both performance and resilience skills were applied across many areas, including, schooling, parenting, relationships, and daily tasks in order to build the ability to live better goal-oriented lives.
Jennifer has a Master’s of Sport Psychology from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in sport psychology from University of Idaho. She has done many years of sport psychology consulting with athletes across many sports from youth through the D1 Level.
She has also coached youth soccer for over 20 years and has a passion for parent and coach education. She sees sports as a platform to build character and loves to encourage young athletes to embrace challenges, support their teammates, and give back to their communities.
As an adult with ADHD, she has empathy for kids who are outside the “norm” and loves to help people find the strategies and systems that work for them. She believes that the path of life isn’t always straight, but the important part is to continue moving forward.
